ABOUT ME
CHAMILE DIAZ
PAINTING, DRAWING, AND GRAPHICS
Hello!
My name is Chamile and I am a Filipina-Mexican artist currently working in Tempe, AZ! I am passionate about using my art as a platform to uplift and empower marginalized groups.

My paintings investigate the intersections of female identity, cultural relationships, and spirituality. Often times mixing painterly chaotic brushstrokes and linear neat portraiture, I am able to illustrate the 'liminal space' identity that I often occupy as a first-generation individual.
In my design work, I have been able to investigate the benefits of digital media and digital storytelling for Latina communities. Additionally, I have collaborated with reproductive organizations to create artworks upholding the importance of reproductive rights to the overall health of a community as well as the individual. My work with reproductive justice organizations is utilized in digital media and marketing, and I have also worked on long-form content such as zines.
